Today I finished sewing a simple dress for my daughter's dance thing. While it is not perfect and the zipper gave me a few more gray hairs, all in all I am content. And a bit surprised. My previous batles with the sewing machine haven't always ended triumphantly. It isn't actually art, I know. But as in everything, first must come practice. Perhaps by the time such fineries are allowed, I will be creating glittery, stoned masterpieces. Even though I predict I will always use ready made basic patterns. That's much like my 3D stuff too, isn't it?

That it'd be nice to update this on a good day too sometime. As you can probably reduce from that, I have far more good and average days than those days I just have to vent. Anyway, it is an ordinary Wednesday morning. D has left for school and I will leave in a couple of hours as well. In the afternoon we're going ice skating. There is only one place for ordinary people to skate in the city this Winter as it has not been cold enough to freeze rinks naturally. We went once already, it was somewhat unnerving at first as I had not skated in something like 19 years, but I guess it is like riding a bike. The kiddies dance is going well too. It

Well, I did what I had to and pleaded my very good friend for a loan. We will survive the next week or so and even get to go to town to see the fireworks tomorrow. It sucks to be such a burden and it also sucks that when the payment I am waiting for does come, not all of it will be mine. But survival and peace of mind are vital. Daughter is staying at a friend's tonight as well as several hours during the day. This may account for the absense of arguments, but she did come in time for dinner.
